Step 1 Warming –up 热身运动

1.Greetings.

1.课件导入,听故事

2.听故事,做判断题

1)教师引导学生看屏幕,并举例引导学生知道屏幕上是判断题:

T: Look! The frog is in the desk. Yes or No. 学生回答不予评价,再放录音,学生对照手上的录音材料边听边做)

2)T:Can you tell me your answer?

(学生回答,教师直接打√和×,集体对答案。)

3.听故事连线:

1)开书再听一遍。

T: You’re so clever. Now, open your books, turn to Page 15~16, let’s listen again.

2)Look at the screen again——Look and match. Can you try?

学生看材料上的该题,进行自我测试,然后集体对答案。

3)Read after the CAI.

4.做游戏,操练句子

1)听音做指令:

教师边说边做——将书放在桌子上(Put the pencil in the desk.…),学生跟说跟做,教师板书这句话,然后以同样的方式说出其他几个介词指令,教师并板书。

2)鼓励两两练习。

3)教师拿出一个球,并示范说游戏规则——chain game.

T: Put the ball under your desk,

S1: OK. 正确做出指令。并且,面向第二个学生要说Put the ball in the desk. 或者其他的,依次类推,分组练习。计时赛。

4)教师及时小结,并将评价的图案贴在黑板上,数数哪组多。

6.听第二部分录音。

(三)故事后的延伸

故事讲完后,学生可能还沉浸在对故事的遐想之中,此时教师应指导学生做一些巩固理解或拓展应用活动。活动可以根据故事内容,结合儿童活泼、好动的特点进行设计。仍以常见的动物故事为例,故事讲完后,教师可以设计一项表演活动,加深学生对故事人物角色的理解。比如,教师可以让学生装扮成动物,与老师一起描述,并做相应的动作:

在一次英语课上,我在教“What’s this in English? It’s a……”时,由于录音中语速太快,学生跟不上来,我便放慢语速,让学生跟读,但几遍下来,有些同学的语速还是有些绕不过来,便产生了畏惧情绪、不愿再读了,还有些学会了的同学就骄傲起来了,他们在别人朗读时不认真听,随意插嘴,当时班级里实在是乱极了。我突然灵机一动,把全班分为四个小组来竞赛,看哪两个小组读得既清晰准确又响亮整齐,就给他们每组各加一面小红旗,结果这一招还真灵验,每个小组都干劲十足了,都读出了自己的最好水平。在进行另外一个句子Do you like monkeys?时,我问同学们要不要再比试一轮,他们齐声说“要!”于是我让他们开始了新一轮的竞争,待同学们基本上都读得很好了时,我看教育的时机已到,于是我说:“老师开始学英语时有很多句子也不会读的,谁愿意教老师读?”学生们都争先孔后地举起手来当小老师。最后,我又请一些不爱发言的学生,让他们读出本课的句子,虽然读得不太好,但我还是给予他“Excellent!”的最高表扬,并对其他同学说“Clap your hands!” 在小朋友们的掌声中,我较为轻松地纠正了他的发音,培养了孩子们的自信心。还有一次在教学What’s for breakfast?这一句型时,我设计了一个Question monkey的游戏。由学生扮演的Question monkey手捧众多食物卡片与学生进行对话:“What’s for breakfast?”被问的学生回答出哪种食物,就会得到这种食物卡片,这样循环往复,学生们突破了心理障碍,涌跃发言。

Step 1 Warming –up 热身运动

【按照常规,故事背景的介绍我们可以直接让学生看图片或打开课本就可以了,但我总觉得这样的设计对不起这些天真活泼的学生。这样,久而久之会大大减退学生的学习积极性。我结合课本故事内容和学生实际设计了青蛙到学校的动画情景,开课能够一下子吸引学生的兴趣,从而使学生在每次上课都会感到新鲜】

2.听故事,做判断题

1)教师引导学生看屏幕,并举例引导学生知道屏幕上是判断题:

3.听故事连线:

1)开书再听一遍。

学生看材料上的该题,进行自我测试,然后集体对答案。

4.做游戏,操练句子

1)听音做指令:

这个故事讲的是一条饥饿毛毛虫,在一周之内吃了许多不同的食物,然后开始肚子痛,再后来毛毛虫呆在自己织的茧中,最后变成了一支艳丽的蝴蝶。首先,该故事内容风度,充满动感,趣味性很强,是普及科学知识的好素材。其次,语言材料适宜小学生理解和掌握,故事中许多重复性的语言结构能帮助学生既能理解和把握故事的内容,又学习一些基本词汇,如星期一到星期日、数字以及食物名称等。

恰当的故事材料恩能够使学生很快融入愉悦、妙趣横生的语言学习状态之中,一些重复的结构能使他们自然地根据故事情节去预测、复述和表达;同时,这些词汇和结构也会逐渐进入学生的语言储备之中,最后变成他们自己的语言。

(四)表情表演设计

在小学英语故事教学中,绘声绘色的表演有助于将学生带入故事世界。表情表演的设计也是小学英语故事教学中不可或缺的内容。

表情表演设计可分为两部分:

1、动作表情设计

研究表明,2—7岁的儿童形象思维占主导地位,他们对于生动、形象、夸张、具体的事物尤其感兴趣。教师在进行英语故事教学时,应尽量将生动活泼的动作、手势、,特点鲜明的表情融为一体,最大限度地吸引学生的注意力,使学生融入故事的情景之中。

例如,针对《PEP小学英语》三年级上册Unit5 Let’s Eat一文,教师可以用适当的动作配以丰富的表情,表现出小熊Zoom的饥饿、口渴,然后到餐厅饱餐后的惬意,以及发现冰激凌被小狗偷吃后的惊愕神情。

2、教学道具设计

使用教具能使教学生动、形象、直观,能有效地表情达意。常规教具通常包括实物教具、图片教具和木偶教具等。一般来说,实物和图片教具经常用来教学故事中的名词,也常用于游戏中,达到寓教于乐的效果。例如,在上文提及的Let’s eat一课中,教师可以准备汉堡、可口可乐、薯条等实物道具以及冰激淋的图片道具;还可以准备三个手偶,分别为小熊、鸭子以及小狗。教师应注意使用教具的时机,过早使用教具会使教具失去新颖性,还会分散学生的注意力,进而影响教学效果。

三、小学英语故事教学过程中互动性活动的设计

英语教学离不开互动性课堂活动,这些活动是课堂 教学设计 中最重要的内容,也是实现教学目标的关键所在。互动性教学活动不是独立于教学内容之外的练习,而是贯穿于故事教学的始终,与教学内容构成有机的整体。在设计互动性活动时,教师可以从以下三个方面进行:故事前阶段活动、故事呈现阶段活动和故事后延伸活动(即强化活动)。

(一)故事前阶段活动

在故事教学前,教师有必要针对故事涉及的词汇、句型等语言知识设计一些导入性的活动,目的是让学生熟悉相关注意和基本词汇,为顺利了解故事情节做好准备。在这一阶段,除了向学生介绍故事中的人物角色和引入基本词汇外,教师还可以设计一些让学生思考、回答或讨论等互动性活动,给学生提供用所学语言表达的机会。

例如,对于上文提到的故事Let’s eat.在引入故事前,教师可以设计以下互动性活动:

活动1:学生列举他们所知道的食物名称。

活动2:利用准备好的食物图片或道具,引导学生说出它们的名称。

活动3:学生说出更多的食物名称。学生一边说,教师一边在黑板上画出学生所说的食物简笔画,并写出相应的单词。

这样的互动性活动不仅让学生复习了有关食物的词汇,还为他们提供了语言输出的机会。接着,教师可以引导学生进行与故事内容相关的词汇准备活动。

第一步:学生欢迎小熊Zoom,并用手偶展示小熊。

第二步:使用表情、手势并结合声情并茂的语言向学生展示小熊Zoom饥饿和口渴得神情;通过提示语言引导学生说出小熊饿了,要去餐厅吃饭。例如:

教师可以根据故事内容设计丰富多样的互动性活动。以北师大版《小学英语》二年级上册(第60页)Uncle Booky’s Storytime 板块中的小故事为例,此故事涉及几个可爱的小动物,如snake, frog,turtle等。为了使学生熟悉故事内容,教师除了设计一些列举动物的名称、根据图片指认动物等活动外,还可以让学生根据描述完成匹配活动,训练他们的听力理解能力。此匹配活动的内容可以包括本故事之外的动物,旨在扩大学生的词汇积累。活动的方法是:教师口头描述某动物,请学生根据描述动物内容指认相对应的动物图片。

(二)故事呈现阶段活动

It’s a……”时,由于录音中语速太快,学生跟不上来,我便放慢语速,让学生跟读,但几遍下来,有些同学的语速还是有些绕不过来,便产生了畏惧情绪、不愿再读了,还有些学会了的同学就骄傲起来了,他们在别人朗读时不认真听,随意插嘴,当时班级里实在是乱极了。我突然灵机一动,把全班分为四个小组来竞赛,看哪两个小组读得既清晰准确又响亮整齐,就给他们每组各加一面小红旗,结果这一招还真灵验,每个小组都干劲十足了,都读出了自己的最好水平。在进行另外一个句子Do you like monkeys?时,我问同学们要不要再比试一轮,他们齐声说“要!”于是我让他们开始了新一轮的竞争,待同学们基本上都读得很好了时,我看教育的时机已到,于是我说:“老师开始学英语时有很多句子也不会读的,谁愿意教老师读?”学生们都争先孔后地举起手来当小老师。最后,我又请一些不爱发言的学生,让他们读出本课的句子,虽然读得不太好,但我还是给予他“Excellent!”的最高表扬,并对其他同学说“Clap your hands!” 在小朋友们的掌声中,我较为轻松地纠正了他的发音,培养了孩子们的自信心。还有一次在教学What’s for breakfast?这一句型时,我设计了一个Question monkey的游戏。由学生扮演的Question monkey手捧众多食物卡片与学生进行对话:“What’s for breakfast?”被问的学生回答出哪种食物,就会得到这种食物卡片,这样循环往复,学生们突破了心理障碍,涌跃发言。
